چکیده

The results of studies the level biomarkers oxidative stress and antioxidant system in children with Crohn’s disease ulcerative colitis are presented. relationship between nosology feature redox imbalance was demonstrated, which proved by a significant difference reduced glutathione erythrocytes groups subjects. Children have lower erythrocyte compared to patients colitis. This pattern can be explained different types inflammation these diseases. has productive granulomatous chronic inflammation, one mechanisms development flow is incomplete phagocytosis. Oxidative deficiency glutathione, part system, make large contribution defect phagocytosis, persistence will lead an increase activity due preservation immune dysregulation. study presents variant using binary logistic regression search for model method differential diagnosis inflammatory bowel diseases, where independent variable content glutathione.

Short term effects of ginger on quality of life, disease activity index, inflammatory and oxidative stress factors in ulcerative colitis

Background: Chronic inflammation and oxidative stress are the two essential factors determining ulcerative colitis (UC) onset and severity status. In present study, we aimed to investigate short-term effects of ginger (Zingiber officinale) as a well-known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent on the quality of life, disease activity index and some of inflammatory and oxidative stress factors ...

Expressing the Differences between Crohn Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

I nfl ammatory bowel disease (IBD) is mainly seen in developed, urbanized countries, and its incidence increased steeply at the beginning of the 20th century, concurrently with improved hygiene. Similar trends have been observed for allergic and autoimmune disorders, suggesting that a reduction in microbial burden contributes to disease pathogenesis. Apart from environmental factors playing a s...

[Oxidative stress, prooxidants and Crohn disease].

The frequency of Crohn disease shows a significant increase in the last century. Affected patients show a misbalance between production of free radicals and anti oxidant defenses. Thus, one of the increasingly accepted htypotheses to explain the origin of this disease, is the oxidative stress that occurs in the intestinal mucosa. Dietary factors including self administered vitamin and mineral s...

Neutrophil-Dependent Oxidative Stress in Ulcerative Colitis

Neutrophil accumulation within epithelial crypts and in the intestinal mucosa directly correlates with clinical disease activity and epithelial injury in ulcerative colitis (UC). Current advances have defined the mechanisms by which neutrophils are activated or migrate across mucosal epithelia. A better understanding of this process will likely provide new insights into novel treatment strategi...
